This ranking takes no retailer's word for anything. It counts only the discounts whose original price we recorded ourselves, on a date we keep on file.

How to read this table
The median, not the average
A store that dumps a single item at −90% would see its average leap without a single price having moved. The median describes the discount you actually meet as you browse its catalogue.
A missing store is not a bad store
We only list retailers for which we hold at least 15 verified discounts. Below that, one exceptional item would shift the result by ten points, and the table would talk nonsense with all the confidence of a number.
What these figures do not say
A big discount does not mean a low price. One store can show −50% off high starting prices, another −20% off prices that were already tight. This table measures how generous the reductions are, not how low the prices are.
It also leaves out the discounts retailers announce without our own records backing them up — those are flattering on average, which is exactly why we exclude them.
Where these measurements come from
We record the price of every product we follow at regular intervals and keep every change. When a retailer shows a struck-through price, we compare it with what we saw ourselves on the preceding days. If the two agree, the discount is marked as recorded; if not, the deal carries the note “price announced by the retailer” and stays out of this calculation.
